Dr. Nandini Sankaranarayanan

Dr. Nandini Sankaranarayanan is a Specialist Ophthalmologist in the Department of Ophthalmology at both Medcare Eye Centre and the Discovery Gardens branch of Medcare Medical Centre. She completed her MBBS from the Government Medical College and Hospital, Miraj and  her  M S  in Ophthalmology from  Madras Medical College, India. She further pursued Fellowship in Glaucoma Sub-specialty from the prestigious Sankara Nethralaya, Medical Research Foundation, Chennai, India. She holds Diploma of Membership in Ophthalmology MRCS (Glasgow), UK.

Dr. Sankaranarayanan started her career as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at the Sri Ramachandra Medical College, India. Following the completion of her Fellowhip in Glaucoma, she continued as a Consultant at the renowned Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai, India. After moving to the UAE, she practiced as a Specialist Ophthalmologist and Clinical Lecturer at Thumbay University Hospital and the Gulf Medical University in Ajman.   
                                                      
 She is proficient in performing cataract surgeries, surgical and medical management of Glaucoma and laser procedures like peripheral Laser iridotomy, Selective laser trabeculoplasty and Diode cyclophotocoagulation. Apart from treating various types of Glaucoma, she is well versed with management of various eye conditions with a meticulous and comprehensive evaluation. She keeps herself updated with all the latest and evolving treatment protocols and has several Publications to her name.

Dr Sankaranarayanan loves travelling, listening to Carnatic Music, exploring new cuisines and plays cricket with her Sons in her leisure times.
